LESSON ONE

God's Glorious Foods

First, let's make sure that we are crystal clear on our body’s role and its significance. In this lesson, we talk about why it is so vital to care for our body, God's Temple. God has given us so many glorious foods to nourish and bring health and healing to our bodies. The wrong foods bring harm. With every single bite we take, we decide - health or harm? What we eat matters.

In lesson one, we learn:

  • How to be diligent in treating our bodies well including; the way we love it, move it, respect it, and feed it. Everything we choose to do with our bodies matters. 
  • How to view food differently- not the way the government has said, but the way God intended.
  • How to easily transition our way of eating with simple, easy to remember steps and lots and lots of motivation along the way. 
LESSON TWO

Eat The Rainbow

The first foods God gave us were plants...

God told Adam and Eve, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food." Genesis 1:29

In Genesis 3:16, God gave us more to eat and said “you shall eat the herb of the field” as well. 

It's time to get to know these glorious vegetables and fruits He gave us to eat.

In lesson two, we learn:

  • What really makes a food healthy or not. It's something many diets ignore and why they don't work.  
  • Why eating fruits and veggies gives us more energy, decreases cravings, helps with digestion, and more!
  • How eating the rainbow crowds out food that brings harm. The more high-nutrient dense foods we eat, the less low-nutrient foods we'll crave.

LESSON THREE

Change the Carbs

To carb or not to carb? I’m here to tell you that when carbs are eaten the right way, they are not the enemy. Eaten the wrong way? They bring obesity, disease, and premature death. So, I think it’s important to know what the right way is, don’t you? 

In lesson three, we learn:

  • Everything we think we know about 'whole-grains' is pretty much incorrect, but why they're essential for our health.
  • How the wrong types of carbs skyrocket our blood sugar, then slam our blood sugar to rock bottom, leaving us exhausted and tired. We're going to work together to break this cycle. 
  • What simple food upgrades we can make immediately to change our carbs and see quick changes in our bodies. 
LESSON FOUR

Swap the Sugar

Let me be crystal clear right upfront. Sugar is not a glorious food. The only reason it gets a whole lesson in this 40 Day Food Revival is that we are eating way too much of it and it is silently and slowly killing us. It’s time we do something about it. LESSON FIVE

Fix the Fats

Fat is probably the most confusing macronutrient, do you agree?

In Lesson 5, we set the record straight on fat. No more confusion. We will know exactly which fats are good, which ones are bad, and how much fat we should be eating.

We will also begin the journey to fixing the fats by upgrading the oils and fats we use as well as being a detective to root out toxic Hateful 8+ oils found in most processed foods.

In lesson five, we learn:

  • The history of how Cholesterol and Saturated Fats got ALL the blame for heart disease.
  • Research shows Omega-3 Fats and Saturated Fats that come from animal fats reduce heart disease risks.
